Invitations have been sent out to an event on 9th September by Apple, effectively confirming the previously-rumoured iPhone 6 launch date. Unlike the company’s previous invitations, there is no hint of what will be shown (the iPhone 5’s event invitation was particularly in-your-face). However, Apple has a history of releasing its handsets in early autumn.
A new, widely-circulated rumour is that Apple will also show its iWatch at the event – although there are, of course, the usual bevy of counter-rumours!
