Apple is reported by Bloomberg to be working on unifying the iOS and macOS operating systems by allowing a single code base and supporting the mouse and trackpad on Mac devices in iOS. The site suggests that the development may be officially revealed at the Apple Developers’ conference this summer. Analysts have suggested that a reason for the development is that while there are a lot of apps on the iOS store, the Mac store is, relatively, thin. The move might also help in the future if, as some believe, the firm plans to develop its own CPUs which could then support both desktop and mobile devices.
