Apple Registers 12 new products in Russia

What They Say

MacRumors spotted reports that Apple has filed some products in Russia that might be new products. There are three iPhones and nine iPads. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his subscriber email took the rumours and speculated that Apple is ‘readying the widest array of new hardware products in its history this fall’. His list is

  • four new iPhones
  • a low-end MacBook Pro, an updated iMac, the new Mac Pro, a revamped MacBook Air
  • an AirPods Pro upgrade, three Apple Watches
  • a low-end iPad and iPad Pros.

He also responded to a question by a reader on whether ‘Apple’s upcoming headset will be able to function as an external display for a Mac?’. He thinks that this might happen ‘at some point’, but more likely the headset would be used to augment work done on a Mac.

What We Think

It must drive Apple crazy to try to control the spread of information on its plans in such a complex global market. However, given the market cap of the giant at $2.6 trillion, the level of scrutiny is unsurprising. (BR)
