Apple has put Pegatron ‘on probation’ as a supplier because the company had not correctly handled student workers. Pegatron will not get new contracts until all corrective actions have been taken. Pegatron said it had fired the responsible executive.
What We Think
It can only be good that this kind of action is taken. With the extreme competition in the product assembly business, it must be tempting to push the edges of fair employment policies and sometimes go over the edge. (BR)
