Digitimes is quoting ‘upstream supply chain’ sources as saying that the shipment of Apple tablets will grow to around 600K units in Jjuly, around 20% ahead of current numbers which include a new 10.5″ iPad Pro which is now in mass production and could be announced at the Apple developers’ conference along with revised Mac Books in June. The 12.9″ iPad Pro could also be revised, according to Rhoda Alexander of IHS, quoted by Forbes and backed by an analyst from KGI Securities. The larger display is possible because of smaller bezels. Demand for the 9.7″ iPad is expected to peak in Q3.
