According to Immersion, Apple’s iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and Apple Watch have breached a variety of patents. Apple Insider reports that the iPhones breached Patent 8,619,051 (‘Haptic Feedback System with Stored Effects’), and Patent 8,773,356 (‘Method and Apparatus for Providing Tactile Sensations’). The iPhone 6S series breaches patent 8,659,571 (‘Interactivity Model for Shared Feedback on Mobile Devices’).
Immersion is taking action against Apple through the US ITC over the breaches.
