Apple has written to US transport regulators to express its interest in the development of testing rules for autonomous cars and asking that “established manufacturers and new entrants should be treated equally.”
Analyst Comment
This news doesn’t really clarify that Apple is actually interested in developing cars itself, and recent gossip seems to point to the company focusing, rather, on developing software for other people’s cars. That seems more likely to me. (BR)
