Apple Announces Consumer Repair Costs for iPhone X

Apple has announced the costs of repairs for its latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone X.

In the event that the device’s Super AMOLED display is broken out of warranty, repairs will set consumers back $249. Meanwhile, any “other repairs” such as water damage will cost $549 to fix—the cost of a new iPhone 7.

Apple provides the option to extend its 90-day warranty to a two-year period with its $199 Care+ package. Under Care+, screen repairs will only cost consumers a $29 excess.

Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities previously estimated the cost price of the iPhone X’s screen to be in the realm of $120.
