ams Osram to Invest €800 million in Malaysia for MicroLEDs

Semiconductor Today reported that ams Osram GmbH said at a recent investors’ day that it will build a new 8″ wafer LED front-end fab in its existing site at Kulim, Malaysia. The investment is expected to cost around €800 million and will make microLED as well as other LEDs.
