UBI Research said that the volume of AMOLEDs shipped for smartphones in Q3 2016 was 96 million units and that was 103% up on Q2 and 148% up on Q3 2015. Samsung took more than 91% of the market with small volumes from BOE, EDO, Tianma and Visionox. The company expects volumes to grow by 41% per annum, reaching 864 million by 2018 and 1,408 million by 2020.
