AMD says its second quarter turnover will be lower than previously advised and will now be approximately 8% down on the first quarter, compared with its original forecast of a 3% sequential decline. Quarterly turnover will be less than $1 billion for the first time in at least a decade. The decrease is primarily due to weaker than expected consumer PC demand, which has impacted AMD’s OEM APU sales.
AMD will release its second quarter results on 16th July.
