Amazon has officially announced the Fire TV Stick Basic, coming to 100 new countries including Europe.
Amazon Fire TV Stick Basic uses a MediaTek Quad-core ARM 1.3 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It supports up to 1080p video at 60 frames per second, plus 5.1 surround sound. It connects to users TVs via HDMI and uses their Wi-Fi connection for streaming. The device can be controlled either with the bundled remote control or with the Amazon Remote smartphone app.
Amazon Fire TV Stick Basic is available now, retailing at $50.
