Alphabet announced fourth quarter and fiscal year 2017 results. Revenue was $32.3 billion, up 24% year on year compared to $26.1 billion reported in Q4 of 2016. Google segment revenue was $31.9 billion in the quarter. Alphabet reported a net loss of $3.02 billion in the quarter due to the impact of the U.S. Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Excluding the additional tax charge of $9.9 billion, net income was $6.8 billion in the quarter compared to $5.3 billion reported in Q4 of 2016.
For the full year revenue was $110.9 billion, compared to $90.2 billion reported in 2016 and Net income was $12.7 billion, compared to $19.5 billion reported in 2016.
