Acer’s Projectors Compensate for Ambient Light

Three DLP projectors and two AIO PCs have been introduced by Acer at Computex.

All three projectors have 1920 x 1080 resolution and support MHL technology, as well as Acer’s ColorBoost 3D and ColorSafe II technologies. They are the V7500, H6518BD and a UST model, the U5520B.

The V7500 is a home theatre model, with 100% sRGB coverage and Acer’s ColorPurity technology, as well as an ambient light sensor. Four-corner correction is also supported. The lamp will last for up to 10,000 hours.

Brightness on the H6518BD reaches 3,200 lumens. This model also has an ambient light sensor, as well as 2D-to-3D conversion and optional wireless projection via a dongle. It features Bluetooth and built-in speakers.

Acer’s U5520B is able to throw an 87″ image from 0.35m. It supports USB content playback and optional interactivity with the Acer Smart Pen. Lamp life can reach 7,000 hours through Extreme Eco mode.

All of the new projectors will be shipped in Q3; more details will be released closer to the launch time.

The new Z-Series AIO PCs will also be launched in Q3. They are the 23.8″ Aspire Z3-710 (supporting 10-point touch) and 19.5″ Aspire ZC-700. These are slim (36mm) models, with 1920 x 1080 resolution and Windows 8.1. They also feature webcams, speakers and can tilt between -5° and 25°.

Intel Core i3, Pentium or Celeron processors can be used in the PCs, with up to 8GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. Both have a blue light filter.
