Acer Debuts Two Durable, Convertible Chromebooks for the Education Market

What They Say

Acer launched two convertible Chromebooks, both fitted with Corning Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass. The Spin 512 has a 3:2 aspect ratio an extends the antimicrobial treatment to the keyboard, touchpad and palm area. The Spin 511 has a 11.6″ 1366 x 768 IPS display while the Spin 512 has a 12″ 1366 x 912 IPS display. CPUs are Celeron or Pentium.

Both are built to MIL-STD 810H and will be available in North America in April and in EMEA in March 2021. The 512 costs from $429.99/€399 and the 511 from $399.99/€369.

What We Think

I guess MIL-STDs are a good measure of how Chromebooks might hold up when used by children in the classroom! (BR)
