Acer’s X1 DLP projector range is said to provide a quality experience, despite being aimed at budget-conscious users.
Four models (X115, X115H, X125H, and X135WH) make up the range, with brightness reaching 3,400 lumens. All of them use Acer’s contrast-enhancing DynamicBlack feature, as well as the DLP-specific ColorBoost3D and ColorSafe II technologies. Colour wheels are six-segment on all models.
Each projector can be ceiling mounted and rotated up to 180°. They have vertical keystone correction (40°) and a top-loading lamp module.
The EcoProjection and ExtremeEco modes are aimed at saving power and prolonging lamp life. The former lowers power draw by up to 70%, while the latter can extend lamp life to 10,000 hours.
Acer will begin to sell the projectors in the UK this month. They will cost £200 ($280) (X115), £210 ($300) (X115H), £240 ($340) (X125H) and £280 ($480) (X135WH) ex VAT.
