Abrisa Can Screen Print Glass for Tables and LFDs

In anticipation of its presence at SID, Abrisa Technologies has announce a new large HI-OD (high optical density) screen printed display glass solutions in sizes up to 84″ diagonal, intended for retail and commercial digital signage, gaming tables, in home entertainment and other large format displays. The HI-OD printing process uses proprietary epoxy ink formulations in a multi-pass, multi-layer offset process that is claimed to achieve high quality screen printing with a low profile and “pinhole free” opacity. Abrisa Technologies said that it has the in-house spectrophotometric ability to measure optical density (OD), to help verify opacity when required. The HI-OD process also delivers a low profile screen print for a “Halo-Free” appearance after bonding and lamination.

The Large HI-OD screen printed display glass solutions can be made from a host of 3mm plus thickness glass including:

  • Low loss anti-reflective (AR) soda lime float,
  • color neutral low iron soda lime float, l
  • ow expansion Schott Borofloat and
  • wide angle non-glare glass.

Strengthened and toughened glass options for enhanced ruggedness and durability are available.

HI-OD screen printing options include: backside printed white or black borders in matte or gloss finish and the addition of custom logos, text or design elements as desired with PMS color matching.

Abrisa will bring screen-printed glass to SID
