A Finnish 75″ LCD Outdoor Display

At InfoComm 2023, Finland’s Kuori showed off its 75″ LCD display, engineered with a focus on energy efficiency, quality, and design, targeted at outdoor digital signage, specifically in the digital-out-of-home (DOOH) industry. I missed this myself but thanks to rave [PUBS] for the heads up.

The display operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C, has IP66 protection, and a brightness of 4000 nits. The stainless steel structure probably helps with the longevity and suitability for installation in demanding locations, while its filterless air circulation system is supposed to deliver reliable performance even in challenging environments. The company’s new cooling system, along with their new LCD panel modules, has brought average consumption below 400 watts.

Kuori claims that its display can be easily customized and is designed based a module way to allow for easy servicing and component replacement without disassembly. The intent is to optimize the lifecycle of the displays, reducing the total cost of ownership and minimizing waste while maximizing flexibility.

Kuori’s outdoor digital displays use an Android-based operating system. In fact, Kuori has become the first OEM to implement the Google framework for enterprise devices licensing agreement (EDLA) certification for use in large outdoor screens. EDLA-certified allows for modern mobile device management solutions like Zero-Touch enrollment, mass-scale fleet deployment, over-the-air updates for security patches and Android version upgrades, and user-friendly remote management capabilities.
