It hasn’t been long since the introduction of the Galaxy Note 4 (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 36), but speculation is already turning to Samsung’s next announcement. The company traditionally introduces a new flagship smartphone in Q1 every year, and the rumour-mill has been fuelled by an apparent leak of the Galaxy S6’s specifications.
Chinese website My Drivers, quoting unnamed South Korean sources, claims that the 5.3″ AMOLED display on the S6 will have UltraHD resolution. The phone will be introduced at MWC in March. It will feature iris-scanning technology (previously rumoured to be included on the S5 (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 3)) and a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor. 4GB of RAM will be used, compared to 2GB on the S5.
