The Elec reports that eMagin’s COO Amal Ghosh told audiences at IMID 2022 that the firm plans to use a tandem structure in one of its future microOLED OLEDoS display. The device under development uses current fluorescent blue, the report said.
eMagin explained the specification of its microOLED panel – it will be 1920×1200 resolution, 2645pixels per inch, 9.6µm in color pixel pitch and 1.95 x 7.8µm subpixel with over 10,000 cd/m² in luminance.
What We Think
The specification information was interesting. I wasn’t sure it was really news and on checking, most of it was said in a press release from the firm last year (eMagin Corporation Introduces World’s Brightest Full-color OLED Microdisplay) (BR)
