What They Say
Aixteen-Nine.net found a LinkedIn video that shows the use of LEDs on architectural glass, that Eclipse Digital Media calls ‘Photoelectric Glass LED’. Eclipse is working with Nexnovo of China. The LEDs are down to 10mm pitch, have output of up to 3,000 cd/m² and are IP65 rated. The video shows how modules can be installed behind existing windows as well as being optimised in bespoje facades.
What We Think
As Dave Haynes suggests, if you watch the video, muting or reducing volume may be a good idea!
There are likely to be lots of developments in this kind of display in coming years, I think. We’ve seen LG really working on promoting its film-based LEDs (BR)
