Samsung has a new monitor that has a 55″ diagonal very curved (1000R) Odyssey Ark display which is reported to have ‘4K’ QD miniLED display and has pivoting facilities as well as height adjustment. The monitor will have a wireless ‘puck’ to act as a monitor control of the OSD.
What We Think
There are possibly some use cases for the vertical orientation, but I have to say I can’t think of many! Flight simulator? (but then, wouldn’t the wider version be more immersive?).
There were few details released of the monitor. I took the view from above and added some red straight lines that suggest that like other curved displays, this one has a curved centre section with flatter ‘wings’. (Are Monitors Ahead of the Curve?) (BR)
