What They Say
Gamers have been looking carefully at Windows 11. It seems that the new Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) system, introduced in Windows 10, but in operation by default in Windows 11, can significantly reduce performance in gaming with PCs that are not hardware optimised for Windows 11 – by up to 28%.
What We Think
I’ve been using Windows since the first version and have used each one. For many years, it was the ‘rule of thumb’, that every other version was good. On that basis, I probably shouldn’t upgrade to Windows 11 as Windows 10 is pretty good, I think. Still, I doubt I’ll resist the temptation for long, although being the first has its risks. (BR)
