What They Say
Experienced technology journalist, Avram Piltch of Toms Hardware, has highlighted that Lenovo’s 28″ L28u-30 UltraHD monitor was available on Black Friday for $239. The monitor has 300cd/m² of output and has support for 99% of sRGB, 90% of DCI-P3 and 1,000:1 contrast. The only downside for Piltch is that the monitors are not height-adjustable. He’s using dual screens for productivity applications.
The LCD in the monitor is said to be the Innolux M280DCA-E3B (and is also used in the ThinkVision S28u-10, which is a version that is just cosmetically different). It uses AAS technology, which is Innolux’s version of IPS.
What We Think
Wow, dual 28″ UltraHD displays for less than $500! How times have changed. Even at the non-Black Friday price, the monitor is extremely good value. (BR)
