Earlier this month, the Tokyo District Court dismissed claims filed by LED lighting manufacturer, Everlight, against Nichia Corporation, Citizen Electronics and Daiko Electric.
In its lawsuit, Everlight claimed that the companies’ chip-on-board (COB) products and the lighting fixtures they are mounted on infringe one of its patents.
