Fitbit Launches Charge 3 Wearable Fitness Tracker Worldwide

Fitbit has launched its Fitbit Charge 3 wearable fitness tracker worldwide, featuring a swim-proof design, a greyscale OLED display 40% larger than the Charge 2 and what it calls “the most advanced health and fitness features on a tracker”, with up to seven days of battery life.

The device features PurePulse heart rate tracking, a relative SpO2 sensor, over 15 goal-based exercise modes, swim tracking, female health tracking, sleep insights and more. It also includes an inductive button, expanded smartphone notifications, quick replies on Android, apps and, exclusive to the Charge 3 Special Edition, NFC payments.

Fitbit Charge 3 is available now, priced at $149.95, while the Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition with Fitbit Pay will be available soon, priced at $169.95.

Analyst Comment

It was hard to get details on the display at press time. It is described as an OLED in some reports, but the company’s site say it is ‘backlit’, but they might mean that it is emissive! If we can get more information, we’ll bring it to you. (BR)
