The four Taiwanese panel suppliers that we track saw an improvement last month with overall shipments of 21.31 million large panels, up 1% MoM and 4.3% YoY.
AU Optronics saw its August turnover rise 7.8% MoM to NT$27.81 billion ($903 million), although this was down 7.8% YoY. The company shipped 10.04 million large panels, up 2.6% MoM and 0.1% YoY.
Chunghwa Picture Tubes posted August turnover of NT$2.25 billion ($73 million), an increase of 0.2% MoM but dropping 29% YoY. CPT’s large panel shipments were 72,000, down 27.3% MoM and 33.3% YoY.
Hannstar Display reported sales for the month of NT1.33 billion ($43 million), down 18.3% MoM and 45% YoY. Its large panel shipments fell 18% MoM but jumped up 111% YoY to 148,000.
Innolux recorded monthly revenue of NT$24.4 billion ($792 million), seeing decreases of 3.1% MoM and 10.5% YoY. 11.05 million large panels were shipped, a rise of 0.1% MoM and 8% YoY.
