LG Display will ramp up its production of OLED TV panels in 2019, with a view to making the business arm profitable, according to Nikkei. The publication revealed that LGD plans to increase production by 40%, upping capacity to 4 million units annually, in line with previous forecasts.
So far, LGD has struggled to turn a profit from its OLED business, due to the high costs of investment involved in OLED panel production.
