Clear VC Completes AV Refurbishment of Grade II Listed Building in the UK

Optoma has released a case study detailing the AV refurbishment of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ office in London, UK, carried out by visual communication specialist Clear VC.

Optoma said, “Although a Grade II listed building, ICAEW wanted to embrace the technical developments of the twenty-first century and provide better facilities for its event and conference customers”.

In eight weeks, Clear VC replaced the floors, furniture and wall decorations in The Great Hall. The old stage, with its light-obscuring backdrop, was removed and new AV equipment, lighting and conferencing facilities were installed.

As well as the 20m² great hall and 120-seat council chamber-style auditorium, the office features 21 standard meeting rooms, which now feature a Crestron touchscreen and a Lifesize Icon video conferencing system connecting to a display. Room booking panels are powered by Crestron and Fusion servers that allow ICAEW to view and book the meeting rooms.

The venue is hired for almost every type of event from political receptions and company launches to private functions like weddings and parties. Since the refurbishment, bookings have gone up by 16% and revenue has increased by 27%, Optoma said in its case study.

The company also released a video tour of the newly-refurbished facilities.
