HKC has filed a counter-claim against Innolux for patent infringement, according to the OLED Association. The news comes after Innolux filed its own patent infringement lawsuit against HKC back in February. The company alleged that HKC had violated 17 of its flat panel manufacturing patents.
Now, HKC is claiming that TV sets being made in China by two Innolux subsidiaries violate five of its own patented technologies. It also reportedly requested that the State Intellectual Property Office in China invalidated claims relating to nine of the patents mentioned in the previous lawsuit from Innolux.
