At the end of 2017, StarVR and Sega also announced a partnership that would see the headset installed at several Sega Game Center arcade locations throughout Japan, starting this month. (Sega and StarVR Collaborate on VR Arcade Experiences in Japan)
Analyst Comment
We weren’t massively enthralled by StarVR when we saw it in 2016 and unfortunately, we didn’t get to see if it had improved at last year’s IFA conference. Hopefully, this extra injection of cash from Acer will benefit the device’s ongoing development. (Acer Looks to Gaming) (AF)
