A company called Funky Sound Studio has released bluetooth headphones that have an integrated touch display that can be used to navigate playlists or can show a custom image or album cover, for example. The headphones also support voice control (which might be more useful – Man. Ed.)
Analyst Comment
This is unusual product, but it seems to me that adding a display to a headphone is not desperately clever. First, the owner can’t see the display when its playing. Second, the display will use power and add weight and cost. Still, there are always people that want to develop very high end audio. Whether ‘Funky Sound Studio’ is a good name for a luxury brand is another issue. If we see the company in the Eureka park at CES next month, we’ll try to find out a bit more. (BR)
