According to Digitimes, approximately 5.5 million gaming notebooks will be shipped worldwide in 2017, a 22% growth from the 4.5 million units shipped in 2016.
Citing information from “industry sources”, Digitimes also claims that Asus and Micro-Star International will be the top two vendors of the year, but are facing “increasingly fierce competition from other players, particularly in the Asia Pacific market”.
Digitimes’ sources also claim that demand for gaming notebooks in Southeast Asia has breached the one million unit mark in 2017.
