The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has blocked AT&T’s acquisition of Time Warner.
Not only that, but it has also filed a lawsuit to prevent it from ever happening, claiming that the $85 billion merger will reduce competition and raise consumer prices.
The DoJ has been forced to deny accusations from AT&T that its decision is a political one, after US President Donald Trump publicly voiced his objection to the proposed merger.
