Innolux said that it has bought LTPS equipment from Hon-Hai to make small and medium LTPS LCD displays for its Fab 8B in Lu-Ju, Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The company believes that this will mean that its share of LTPS capacity globally will increase from 2% to 8%. The company hopes that will help the company develop into new technologies including OLED, miniLED and uLED which may need polysilicon technology.
