Hannstar Benefits from Higher Shipments

HannStar Display Corporation recorded Q3 net profits of NT$2.17 billion ($71.8 million), down from NT$2.35 billion ($78.0 million) a year ago, on turnover which slipped to NT$6.66 billion ($220.7 million) from NT$6.96 billion ($230.8 million). For the nine months there were profits of NT$5.04 billion ($167.0 million), a big increase on NT$728 million ($24.1 million), on revenue which rose to NT$17.59 billion ($583.3 million) from NT$14.58 billion ($483.5 million). The company said that its quarterly shipments were up 14% QoQ, with small panels accounting for 73%, medium 20% and large 7%.
