Eizo has said that it has two new stands (MDS-T191 and MDS-T261) that are compatible with its range of 19″ and 25.5″ marine monitors.
Both stands, when combined with compatible monitors, comply with the conditions for temperature, humidity, and vibration as defined in the IEC 60945 international standard for maritime navigation and radio communication equipment and systems. They also meet the requirements for major maritime classifications such as LR (UK), DNV GL (Norway/Germany), ABS (USA), and NK (Japan).
The MDS-T261 and MDS-T191 offer a tilt range from 0 to 60º, positioned in 10º steps. This allows for flexible positioning to ensure optimal viewing of the monitors.
Huawei said that it has worked with Dolby Labs to create a new Q22 set-top box that is the first IPTV box globally to support Dolby Vision HDR technology. (We looked around for more information, but could find nothing – we assume the box will support UltraHD!)
Matrox said that its latest display driver allows dual C900 cards in a single system to support 5 x 3 and 4 x 3 video wall configurations as well as the current 6 x 3 and 6 x 2 arrays. The cards support board to board framelock to ensure synchronisation.
Optoma said that the ZU850 laser phosphor projector now has integrated edge blending software that shares a user interface with the Chameleon GB-200 processor. The company quoted a review from Projector Central –
“The ZU850 is rated at 8000 lumens. Our test unit equipped with the optional BX-CTA06 lens delivered 8530 lumens in Bright and Constant Power modes, thus exceeding its rating – most uncommon performance for the majority of today’s projectors.”
Panasonic has added mirror heads that are suitable for its projectors from 6,200 to 30,000 lumens. The four models (ET-MH14, ET-MH15, ET-MH17 and ET-MH18) are said to be ideal for rental and touring applications and can support pan rotation of 180º and tilt rotation of 90º. The MH14 series features a quick, secure snap-on mounting for stack frames but can also be used without frames. The SR584 has an enclosed design designed to make setup easy and allow storage of PC and components, which is lockable at the rear.
