French cable operator Canal+ is bringing Ultra HD content to its myCanal service for the newly-released Apple TV 4K.
The company has teamed up with French technology firms Ateme and Anevia to assist in the delivery of its UHD content. The service will offer both live and on-demand content such as sports coverage, Canal+ original series including The Young Pope and selected movies.
To enjoy myCanal’s Ultra HD content, subscribers will need an Apple TV 4K and a UHD-capable display. The company also recommends an internet connection of 20 megabits per second or above.
Canal+ has also revealed plans to bring its UHD content to other Apple devices including the iPad, iMac and Macbooks at a later date.
