Insight Media and Samsung Electronics Corp. announce a new conference to be held at the Sheraton Universal near Hollywood on June 27-28. Called the QLED and HDR10 Summit, this event is a unique opportunity to hear the full scope of the Samsung’s plans for quantum dot (QLED) displays, its full HDR10/HDR10+ ecosystem activities, its ambitions to bring wide color gamut and HDR to theatrical, and its efforts in metrology and calibration for wide color gamut and HDR display.
Samsung presenters will be complemented by other industry partners and experts and there will be a number of demos to showcase technology.
The goal is to share technical, product, market, standardization and measurement information and issues related to the adoption of wide color gamut and HDR technology in TVs, monitors and professional products, including theatrical venues.
This event is focused on the Hollywood technical community and offers a venue to learn more about Samsung’s plans, to see some of the latest technology demos and to hear from industry leaders on the current state and future plans in these areas.
