Samsung Germany has released the 55″ FullHD edge-lit PM55F-BC touch monitor for commercial applications and with 400 cd/m² of output and 4,000:1 native contrast. The display supports 10 point PCap touch and includes a 3.2mm thick front panel to protect the display, which is rated at IP5x and supports 24/7 operation. The surface is treated for non-glare.
A fourth generation SoC is built-in with support for Samsung’s Tizen OS and MagicInfo Server 4.0, but the monitor can be fitted with a Samsung set-back box for interactive whiteboard applications. Wireless is integrated allowing cloud-based software to be used and there is stereo (10W + 10W) audio.
Connectivity is via DVI-I, dual DisplayPort 1.2 and dual HDMI 2.0 inputs. There is a DP 1.2 loop-through connector.
The display is available now at €4,410 and a 32″ version will arrive shortly at €2,310.
