The Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology (Fraunhofer FEP) has been working for many years on antibacterial coatings for textile and polymeric surfaces. It is now using this technology successfully in the fight against germs. Antimicrobial coatings are among the processes used to reduce and neutralise germs on the surfaces of medical products. Fraunhofer FEP will be presenting its work at SVC Techcon in Providence, Rhode Island, USA (April 29 – May 4).
