PPG and Universal Display Announced a Expansion of their Production Capacity

In a press release, PPG and Universal Display Corporation (UDC) announced that they will double the production capacity for Universal Display’s proprietary Universal PHOLED phosphorescent emitter products at PPG’s Barberton, Ohio, manufacturing facility. PPG has been manufacturing for UDC since 2013 at this old PPG manufacturing site. Both parties have worked together on UDC materials since 2000. As the press release states, the investment of $15 million will be coming solely from UDC, while PPG will be adding more than 20 positions at the facility. UDC expects that this investment will allow them to keep up with the expected growing demand for their PHOLED materials. – NH
