AT&T Inc. saw Q3 net profits of $3.3 billion, compared with $3.0 billion a year ago, on turnover of $40.9 billion, up from 39.1 billion. For the year to date there were profits of $20.1 billion, an increase from $17.3 billion, on revenue which rose to $121.9 billion from $104.7 billion.
The entertainment group posted Q3 profits of $1.5 billion with sales of $12.7 billion. The company continued to emphasise satellite subscriptionss, which resulted in a 326,000 decline in U-Verse TV subscribers while satellite subscribers on DirecTV increased by 323,000 in Q3.
