The dispute between Apple and Samsung over patents got to the US Supreme Court this week, with Samsung seeking to win a reduction in the $548 million damages that Apple was awarded last year when Samsung was found to have infringed some Apple patents. In a separate court case, Apple was last week awarded $120m in damages from Samsung for infringing three different patents.
Separately, Samsung has bought Viv Labs which was founded by the creators of the Siri app, which was bought by Apple in 2010.
