Christie US announced new 49″ and 55″ displays for 24/7 operation in control rooms, of government facilities, public utilities, security and surveillance, telecommunications, and transportation. The first of a new series, the panels are intended to match Christie’s quality but with a value-priced LCD display. The monitors are both FullHD models with edge-lit backlights and rated for 50,000 hour lifetime. Portrait and landscape mode operation is supported and bezels are 6.5mm all around (for a 13mm image-to-image gap). Brightness is 500 cd/m² and contrast is 1,300:1
The displays have OPS slots, RS232 and Ethernet ports. Inputs include dual HDMI and DisplayPort loop-through. There are also analogue graphic and video interfaces as well as media playback via USB. There are dual 10WE speakers and the units can support up to 10 x 10 video wall scaling. Warranty is three years.
