The Securities Times in China reported that TCL will join with CSOT to establish an 11G LCD/AMOLED fab in Shenzen and with the Shanghai City Government. The total investment plan is estimated at $6.96 billion and the firms will establish a joint venture for the project. Capacity is planned at 90K substrates per month, with a size of 3370 x 2940 to produce 43″, 65″, 70″ and 75″ LCD TV panels as well as professional signage panels and OLEDs.
