The PowerClaw is a set of haptic gloves that promise to make users feel not just touches, but wider sensations in virtual reality. Having recently launched an IndieGogo campaign, a prototype version was at Gamescom last week. According to Road to VR, the gloves uses a series of tiny motors and thermoelectric cells to replicate temperature changes, electric shocks and more. However, it does not feature any hand-tracking; that relies on third-party solutions like that of Leap Motion.
