A retractable headphone hook is built in to the side of the monitor.
MMD/AOC has developed a G-Sync edition of its AGON AG271QX monitor (AOC Lowers Display Lag), which – unusually for a gaming product – uses an IPS panel from AUO. Images can be delivered at refresh rates up to 165Hz, without screen tearing thanks to G-Sync.
To maintain comfort, the 27″ AG271QG is flicker-free, with a low blue light mode. 130mm height adjustment, 40° swivel and -3.5° to 21.5° tilt are also possible. The display also has an ultra-low motion blur mode, which lowers latency, but this cannot be used at the same time as G-Sync and is limited to 120Hz.
Several different viewing modes are featured. These include ‘Game Colour’ (higher colour saturation) and ‘Shadow Control’ (similar to BenQ’s Black eQualizer, lightening dark areas by adjusting gamma).
Display resolution is 2560 x 1440. The screen has a 4ms (G2G) response time, 178° viewing angles and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Brightness is 350 cd/m². HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.0 (x4) and two 2W speakers are built in.
AOC will begin to sell the AG271QG in July, for £510 ($720) ex VAT.
