A 75″ TV has been launched in the UK by Hisense, for the cost of a comparable 55″ model.
The 75M7900 is an UltraHD model with resolution upscaling and HDR support. It is not, however, UHD Premium-certified. A quad-core processor is featured, with smart functionality and HEVC decoding.
Hisense has not shared the official specifications for the set yet. We have some information from retailers, however. Brightness is 400 cd/m², and active 3D is supported. HDMI (x4, two supporting UltraHD at 60fps), Scart, component, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 (x2) ports are built in. The TV is also DLNA-compliant.
As mentioned above, the main selling point of the 75M7900 is its price: £2,000 ($2,940) ex VAT. Sony’s top-end 55″ XD93, for comparison, is £2,160 ($3,175) ex VAT.
