Kwon Oh-hyun, current CEO of Samsung Electronics, will double his role and take on the position of CEO of Samsung Display – replacing Park Dong-gun. The change is seen as a way to generate more co-operation between the semiconductor and display divisions of Samsung, both of which will now be overseen by Kwon.
Kwon joined Samsung in 1985, and has served as CEO of Samsung Electronics since 2013. He has also been head of device solutions and head of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology.
Park Dong-gun will move to Samsung Electronics’ device solutions business, where he will be in charge of preparing future businesses and strengthening the competitiveness of the facility.
